Trigun Stargaze aired 12 episodes from January 10 to March 28, 2026, on TV Tokyo, and Crunchyroll streams it with subtitles and an English dub as the second season of Trigun Stampede. It picks up two and a half years after Lost July, the disaster that wiped a city off the map at the end of Stampede. Vash has vanished under a fake name. Meryl has a new partner. Knives has an army. And Studio Orange spends twelve episodes bringing the brothers' war to an ending three years in the making.
Trigun Stargaze Release Date and Global Streaming Schedule
Trigun Stargaze premiered on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, and its finale aired on March 28. That is exactly three years after Trigun Stampede, which ran from January to March 2023. Studio Orange returned, with Masako Sato taking over as director from Kenji Muto.
Crunchyroll vs. Japanese TV: Where to Watch
Crunchyroll streams Trigun Stargaze worldwide except most of Asia. Look for it under the Trigun Stampede series page, where Stargaze is listed as the second season with all 12 episodes. "Trigun Stargaze Crunchyroll" was one of the season's breakout searches for exactly that reason: the show does not have its own series page. In Japan, it aired on TV Tokyo, and the official anime site has the full broadcast details.
Broadcast Time & Episode Rollout
Subtitled episodes arrived on Crunchyroll weekly. The English dub started on January 24, 2026, two weeks behind Japan, and its finale premiered on April 11. Johnny Yong Bosch returns as Vash, with David Matranga as Wolfwood, Sarah Roach as Meryl and Alexis Tipton as Milly.

Stargaze also keeps the look that made Stampede stand out. Orange animates the series in 3DCG with a hand-drawn feel, and the fights use that freedom: long, unbroken camera moves through gunfire, and close-ups that hold on Vash's face when he refuses to shoot.
The schedule matters less than what the show does with it, because Stargaze is not a new adventure. It is the second half of one story.
Trigun Stargaze Plot: Two and a Half Years After Lost July
Lost July shook the whole planet and destroyed an entire city. Two and a half years later, Meryl Stryfe is a senior reporter with a junior partner, Milly Thompson, and the two are still searching for Vash. They run into Nicholas D. Wolfwood again just as a new wave of plant robberies hits the settlements, and every lead points to Millions Knives and his followers.
Vash, meanwhile, is hiding in a frontier town under the name Erikus, trying to live quietly and help where he can. Then a girl named Jessica arrives with an SOS from the Third Ship, "Home," and Vash cannot pretend to be someone else anymore. Protecting the people he loves means facing his brother again.
Knives and the Gung-Ho Guns
Knives is not working alone this time. His Gung-Ho Guns are assassins with powers built for spectacle: a puppet master, a saxophonist who kills with sound, a hulking brawler, and Elendira the Crimsonnail, one of the most feared fighters on the planet. Above them all stands Legato Bluesummers, who serves Knives with a devotion that borders on worship. The Gung-Ho Guns turn Stargaze into a gauntlet, and each fight costs Vash something he cannot get back.
That is why so many fans searched for one character in particular.
Milly, Legato and the Gung-Ho Guns: The Cast of Trigun Stargaze
Milly Thompson is the most searched character of the season. Fans of the 1998 anime and the manga have been waiting for her since Stampede left her out, and Stargaze finally brings her in as Meryl's junior partner, voiced by Chinatsu Ayamori. Yoshitsugu Matsuoka voices Vash, Sakura Ando voices Meryl and Yoshimasa Hosoya voices Wolfwood, with Ryuji Sato as Knives and Koki Uchiyama as Legato. Here is the cast with their Japanese voice actors (CV).
Vash the Stampede (CV: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka)
The "Humanoid Typhoon," a pacifist gunman with a huge bounty on his head, hiding under a false name at the start of Stargaze.
Meryl Stryfe (CV: Sakura Ando)
Now a senior reporter, still determined to find Vash and tell the truth about him.
Nicholas D. Wolfwood (CV: Yoshimasa Hosoya)
A gunslinging priest with a cross-shaped weapon and ties to Knives's side.
Milly Thompson (CV: Chinatsu Ayamori)
Meryl's junior partner and the newest member of the main cast.
Millions Knives (CV: Ryuji Sato)
Vash's twin brother, who wants to free the Plants by ending humanity.
Legato Bluesummers (CV: Koki Uchiyama)
Knives's most devoted follower, who commands the Gung-Ho Guns on his behalf.
Elendira the Crimsonnail (CV: Ayumu Murase)
One of the most dangerous Gung-Ho Guns.
Midvalley the Hornfreak (CV: Shinichiro Miki)
A Gung-Ho Gun who turns his saxophone into a weapon.
Leonof the Puppetmaster (CV: Cho)
A Gung-Ho Gun who fights through an army of puppets.
Hoppered the Gauntlet (CV: Taketora)
A hulking Gung-Ho Gun built for close-range destruction.
William Conrad (CV: Ryusei Nakao)
A scientist who works with Knives.
Jessica
A girl who brings Vash an SOS from the Third Ship, "Home."
Every name on that list comes from Yasuhiro Nightow's manga, which is where the story's real roots are.
Manga Guide: How Stargaze Relates to the Original Trigun
Trigun Stampede and Trigun Stargaze are a reimagining of Yasuhiro Nightow's Trigun and Trigun Maximum, not a chapter-by-chapter adaptation. Stargaze draws its characters and major conflicts from the later parts of Trigun Maximum, including the Gung-Ho Guns and the fight over the remaining ships, but it rearranges events and introduces them in a new order. Dark Horse publishes the complete manga in English.
That makes "where to continue" a different question than usual. Stargaze brings the Vash and Knives conflict to a close, and its finale changes No Man's Land in a way that works as an ending. If you want more after it, the manga is the best next step, because it tells the same story at a slower pace with more time for every Gung-Ho Gun.
Will there be a Trigun Stargaze Season 2? No sequel has been announced. Stargaze was built as the conclusion of the Stampede story, so treat it as the end.
