Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Cookies and local storage technologies are small text or data entries stored by your browser. This document details which technologies GachaPath uses, why they are used, and how you can manage them.

1. Strictly Necessary & Functional (Always Active)

These technologies are essential to keep the site functioning, secure, and responsive. They do not track browsing history across other sites and do not require prior consent under ePrivacy regulations:

  • rp-consent (Local Storage): Stores your consent choice (accepted/declined) so the consent dialog does not prompt you on every page.
  • Session & UI State: Ephemeral local browser variables preserving layout states.
  • Cloudflare Security Cookies (e.g., __cf_bm, cf_clearance): Generated by Cloudflare to distinguish genuine human visitors from automated bots and prevent DDoS attacks.

2. Third-Party & Performance Technologies (Subject to Consent)

  • Cloudflare Performance: Edge-level aggregated analytics to monitor server responsiveness.
  • Embedded Media (YouTube): Embedded trailers utilize privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Cookies or local storage entries are only placed if you initiate playback.
  • Affiliate Tracking Cookies: When you click an affiliate link (such as an Amazon referral link), the retailer sets a temporary cookie (typically lasting 24 hours to 90 days) on their domain to track referral commissions.
  • Analytical & Tracking Scripts: Any analytical tags are blocked by default and will only fire if you explicitly select "Accept" on our cookie banner.

3. Managing and Updating Your Preferences

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time:

You may also configure your web browser to block or delete cookies:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data

Note: Blocking strictly necessary security tokens may impact website accessibility.

For additional information on our data practices, read our Privacy Policy and Legal Notice. Inquiries: contact@gachapath.com.
