The Chainsaw Man manga box set in English is VIZ Media's Public Safety Arc Box Set, and there is only one. It holds Volumes 1 to 11 of Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw Man (all of Part 1) plus an exclusive double-sided poster. There is no Box Set 2 yet: VIZ has not released or announced one, so Part 2 (Volume 12 onward) is sold as single volumes only. Below: what the box contains, every English volume with dates and chapters, how to spot a fake "box set 2", and where to start after the anime and the Reze Arc movie.

What Is in the Chainsaw Man Manga Box Set?

The Chainsaw Man Box Set contains the first 11 volumes of the manga and an exclusive double-sided full-color poster. VIZ Media released it on September 26, 2023 (ISBN 978-1-9747-4142-7). Those 11 volumes are Chapters 1 to 97, the whole Public Safety Arc: Part 1 of the story, from Denji's first contract with Pochita to the final fight with Makima.

The box is a clean stopping point, not a random cut. Part 1 ends with Chapter 97 in Volume 11, and Part 2 starts with a new lead, Asa Mitaka, in Volume 12. So the box gives you one complete story arc, and Part 2 is a separate purchase.

Compared with buying Volumes 1 to 11 one by one, the box set gets you the same 11 volumes plus two things singles do not have: the box and the poster. If you already own a few Part 1 volumes, singles are the cheaper way to fill the gap. If you are starting from zero, the box is the simplest single order for all of Part 1.

Most people buying Chainsaw Man want one of these three:

Is There a Chainsaw Man Manga Box Set 2?

No Chainsaw Man Box Set 2 exists, and VIZ has not announced one or a release date for one as of November 5, 2026. We checked VIZ Media's Chainsaw Man series page: the Public Safety Arc Box Set is the only box set listed. A "box set 12 to 20" or "Part 2 box set" is not a VIZ product.

A second box later is possible. The manga ended in Japan in March 2026 with Chapter 232, and VIZ boxed Part 1 after Part 1 was finished in English. But English is still catching up: Volume 22 is the latest, Volume 23 is due February 2, 2027, and the final Japanese volume, 24, has no English date yet. Until VIZ announces something, Volumes 12 and up are singles only.

The next section lists every volume, so you can see exactly what the box covers and what you need to buy separately.

How Many Chainsaw Man Manga Volumes Are There in English?

VIZ has released 22 Chainsaw Man volumes in English, with Volume 23 due February 2, 2027. The Japanese edition ended at 24 volumes, so two more English volumes are left. Release dates and ISBNs come from VIZ's pages, and chapter ranges follow the Japanese volumes as listed on Wikipedia. Volume 12 is the shortest at six chapters.

Volumes 1 to 11 are the box set. Volumes 12 to 23 are Part 2, sold one at a time. VIZ also publishes Chainsaw Man: Buddy Stories, a light novel. It is not manga and is not in the box set.

Are Chainsaw Man "Box Set 2" and "Complete Set" Listings Real?

A listing sold as "Chainsaw Man Box Set 2", "Box Set Volumes 12–20" or "complete set 1–24" in English is not an official VIZ product. VIZ makes one box set, Volumes 1 to 11, and only 22 English volumes are out, so a complete English set cannot exist yet. These listings are either resellers bundling single volumes or unofficial reprints.

  • Check the box itself. The real box set has ISBN 978-1-9747-4142-7, holds exactly 11 volumes and comes with a double-sided poster. A box with Volume 12 or higher inside is not VIZ's.
  • Check the ISBN on each volume. Real VIZ Chainsaw Man volumes have ISBNs starting with 978-1-9747. Compare the back cover with the table above.
  • Check the copyright page. It should say VIZ Media and Shueisha. Blurry text, thin paper or faded color pages point to a reprint.
  • Check the volume count. Any "1–23" or "1–24" English set sold before those volumes are out is mislabeled or unofficial.
  • Too cheap. A new 20-plus volume set priced far below the singles is the classic sign of a bootleg.
  • Who ships it. Volumes sold by Amazon.com, a bookstore or VIZ are safe. A "new sealed complete set" shipped from abroad by a marketplace seller is the risk.

Once you know which set is real, here is where the anime leaves off.

Where to Start the Chainsaw Man Manga After the Anime and the Reze Arc Movie

Start the Chainsaw Man manga with Volume 7, Chapter 53, if you have seen both Season 1 and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. The movie ends at Chapter 52, the last chapter of Volume 6, according to chapter guides.

  • After Season 1 only (12 episodes, 2022): the season ends around Chapter 38, according to chapter guides. Start with Volume 5 (Chapters 35–43) for a short overlap, or skip to Volume 7 if you watched the movie.
  • After the Reze Arc movie (Japan September 19, 2025; US October 24, 2025): the film adapts the manga's fifth and sixth volumes. Start with Volume 7 (Chapter 53).
  • What comes next on screen: an anime of the Assassins Arc has been announced, with no release date yet. Volumes 7 to 11 finish Part 1, so the box set already covers that arc.

If you came from the anime, the box set is still the easiest buy: Volumes 1 to 6 retell what you watched, and Volumes 7 to 11 are new to you.

With the reading order sorted, here are the questions people ask most about the Chainsaw Man manga in English.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Chainsaw Man Manga Box Set

Is there a Chainsaw Man manga box set 2?

No. As of November 5, 2026, VIZ Media has released one Chainsaw Man box set, the Public Safety Arc Box Set (Volumes 1 to 11). VIZ has not announced a Box Set 2 or a release date for one, so a "box set 12 to 20" is not a VIZ product.

How many volumes are in the Chainsaw Man manga box set?

Eleven. The box set holds Volumes 1 to 11 (Chapters 1 to 97), all of Part 1, plus an exclusive double-sided full-color poster. VIZ released it on September 26, 2023.

How many Chainsaw Man manga volumes are there in English?

VIZ has released 22 volumes in English. Volume 22 came out October 13, 2026, and Volume 23 is due February 2, 2027. The Japanese edition has 24 volumes in total.

Is the Chainsaw Man manga finished?

Yes, in Japan. Chainsaw Man ended with Chapter 232 in March 2026, collected in 24 volumes. The English edition is still catching up.

How many volumes is Chainsaw Man Part 1?

Part 1, the Public Safety Arc, is 11 volumes (Chapters 1 to 97). Those are exactly the volumes in the official box set. Part 2 starts with Volume 12.

Where should I start the Chainsaw Man manga after the anime and the Reze Arc movie?

Start with Volume 7, Chapter 53. The Reze Arc movie ends at Chapter 52, the last chapter of Volume 6. If you have only seen Season 1, which ends around Chapter 38, start with Volume 5.

Is the Chainsaw Man box set worth it?

It is the simplest way to get all of Part 1 in one order. You get the same 11 volumes as buying singles, plus the box and an exclusive double-sided poster. If you already own some Part 1 volumes, buying the missing singles makes more sense.
