Is There a Frieren Manga Box Set in English? Full Set Guide (2026)

There is no official Frieren manga box set in English. VIZ Media publishes Frieren: Beyond Journey's End only as single volumes, so the "Frieren box set" and "Vol 1-14 full set" listings you see on eBay and marketplace shops are not VIZ products. The real way to own the full set is to buy the 14 VIZ volumes, plus Volume 15 on December 8, 2026. Here is every volume with its release date and chapters, how to spot a fake set, and which volume to start after the anime.

Is There an Official Frieren Manga Box Set in English?

No official Frieren box set exists in English, and none has been announced. We checked every Frieren product page on VIZ Media's site: each volume is sold on its own as a paperback and as a digital edition, and VIZ lists no box set, omnibus, hardcover or collector's edition for the series.

That is unusual for a series this popular. VIZ makes box sets for long or finished series such as One Piece, and Frieren is neither. It is still ongoing in Japan, and it is on a break. A box set usually comes once a story is complete or has reached a natural stopping point, so do not expect one while the manga is on hiatus.

So if you want the whole story on your shelf today, single volumes are the only official way. Most readers need one of these three:

Every Frieren Manga Volume in English (Release Dates and Chapters)

VIZ has released 14 Frieren volumes in English since November 2021, and Volume 15 is up for pre-order. Release dates come from VIZ's product pages, and chapter ranges from the Japanese volume list. The English volumes match the Japanese ones.

Volume	US release (VIZ)	Chapters	Buy
Volume 1	Nov 9, 2021	1–7	Amazon
Volume 2	Jan 11, 2022	8–17	Amazon
Volume 3	Mar 8, 2022	18–27	Amazon
Volume 4	May 17, 2022	28–37	Amazon
Volume 5	Jul 19, 2022	38–47	Amazon
Volume 6	Oct 18, 2022	48–57	Amazon
Volume 7	Jan 17, 2023	58–67	Amazon
Volume 8	Jun 20, 2023	68–77	Amazon
Volume 9	Oct 17, 2023	78–87 (Season 2 ends, Season 3 starts here)	Amazon
Volume 10	Feb 20, 2024	88–97	Amazon
Volume 11	Sep 10, 2024	98–107	Amazon
Volume 12	Feb 11, 2025	108–117	Amazon
Volume 13	May 13, 2025	118–127	Amazon
Volume 14	Feb 10, 2026	128–137	Amazon
Volume 15	Dec 8, 2026 (pre-order)	138–147	Amazon

Volume 15 matters more than most. It ends at Chapter 147, which is where the story stops in Japan for now, so once it ships, English readers are fully caught up. If you are buying the full set as a gift, order Volumes 1 to 14 now and pre-order Volume 15 so the set is complete on December 8.

Those 15 volumes are the real set. Many of the "full sets" sold online are not, which is the next thing to check before you pay.

Are the Frieren "Full Set" Listings on eBay Real?

A sealed "Frieren box set" or shrink-wrapped "Vol 1-14 English full set" is not a VIZ product, because VIZ does not make one. Some of these listings are real VIZ volumes that a reseller bundled together. Many are unofficial reprints shipped from overseas: cheaper paper, blurry printing and sometimes missing pages. Search "frieren manga box set english" and most of the first page is listings like these, which is why it is worth knowing the signs.

Check these before you buy a Frieren set:

• The ISBN. Every real VIZ volume has an ISBN starting with 978-1-9747. Ask for a photo of the back cover and compare it with VIZ's page for that volume. The barcode on the back should also match the ISBN on the copyright page inside.
• A box or slipcase. VIZ makes no Frieren box, so a set that arrives in a printed box is not official.
• The price. A brand-new 14-volume set for far less than the single volumes cost is the most common sign of a reprint.
• The seller. Buying the volumes sold by Amazon.com itself, a bookstore or VIZ is the safe option. A marketplace seller shipping a "new sealed full set" from abroad is the risky one.
• The copyright page. It should name VIZ Media and the translator. Misspelled credits or a blurry, scanned look mean it is not an official copy.

Once you know the set is real, the next question is where to start reading if you came from the anime.

Which Frieren Volume Should I Read After the Anime?

Start with Volume 9 if you have watched both seasons. Season 1 (28 episodes) adapts Chapters 1 to 60, and Season 2 (10 episodes, January to March 2026) adapts Chapters 61 to 80. Chapter 81, the start of the Golden Land arc, is in Volume 9, which opens at Chapter 78. Starting at the first page of Volume 9 means rereading three chapters you saw in the finale.

• Watched Season 1 only: start with Volume 7 (Chapter 61 is a few chapters in).
• Watched Seasons 1 and 2: start with Volume 9, Chapter 81.
• Waiting for Season 3: it adapts the Golden Land arc from Chapter 81 and airs in October 2027, so the manga is a full year ahead of the anime.

Our Frieren Season 2 guide covers the episodes, the English dub and Season 3 in more detail. That leaves one last question: how long you will wait for more manga after Volume 15.

When Does Frieren Volume 15 Come Out in English?

Frieren Volume 15 comes out in English on December 8, 2026, according to VIZ. Japan released it on December 18, 2025, so the English edition is about a year behind. Volume 15 covers Chapters 138 to 147.

After that, there is no Volume 16 date in either language. The manga went on an indefinite hiatus in October 2025, from the Weekly Shonen Sunday issue of October 22, because of the creators' health and to adjust the pace of the series. We could not find an official announcement that it has resumed. Until it does, Volume 15 is the end of the road for every reader.

With the release dates covered, here are the questions people ask most about the Frieren manga in English.

What volume should I read after Frieren Season 2?

Start with Volume 9. Season 2 ends at Chapter 80, and the next chapter, 81, is in Volume 9 (Chapters 78 to 87). Season 3 will start from Chapter 81 when it airs in October 2027.

Is the Frieren manga finished?

No. The manga went on an indefinite hiatus in October 2025 after Chapter 147, for the creators' health. We could not find an official announcement that it has resumed.
