Wuthering Waves' Version 3.6 update, subtitled "Lamplight in Mirage, Sword's Resolve in Heart," entered its second banner phase on September 10 with the release of Jingran, a new five-star Fusion Resonator who fights with a Broadblade. She's paired in the current lineup with reruns of Hiyuki and Mornye, and the phase runs through the end of the version on September 30.
Jingran fills a Fusion main-carry role, built around her signature Broadblade weapon Thousandfold Deliverance and a dedicated echo set called Snowpaw. That combination positions her as a straightforward damage-focused pull for players building around Fusion teams, in contrast to Qingxiao, the Aero main DPS who led the version's first phase alongside a Denia rerun back when 3.6 launched on August 20.

The next patch is already teased
Kuro Games has scheduled a Version 3.7 preview broadcast for September 19 at 8:00 PM JST, and the teaser materials released ahead of it point to the update closing out the Xuanfang story arc that's carried the game's narrative through Version 3.6. Early teaser imagery references the characters Suoming and Hsin as central to that finale, though neither their kits nor their banner placement have been confirmed yet — that detail is exactly what the broadcast is expected to cover.
For players currently deciding whether to pull on Jingran, Hiyuki, or Mornye, the September 30 cutoff is the hard deadline: once Version 3.7 maintenance begins, this banner phase closes and Wuthering Waves' economy resets around whatever new characters the 3.7 broadcast confirms. Saving Astrite for the arc's finale characters is a reasonable bet given how much weight Kuro has put on Xuanfang's conclusion in recent marketing, but nothing about Suoming or Hsin's kits is verifiable until the September 19 broadcast airs.
Between now and then, Jingran's release gives Fusion-focused players their clearest new pull option in weeks, while the wait for the 3.7 broadcast keeps the bigger story questions — how Xuanfang wraps up, and who leads the next arc — open for a few more days.
